Family in Oklahoma!

I can not believe that it is already November!! Don't get me wrong....I have been anxiously waiting for winter to roll around, but these last 3 months have flown by.
Moving to Oklahoma has been a true blessing for our family, but it gets really hard being away from all my family and friends! My momma is my best friend and since the move here we have met up twice and went to Vegas for spring break in 2011, but she is so busy that she hasn't been able to come to Oklahoma yet...until this summer!! I was so excited when she told me that she would be coming down, it was the first time she would see me in my own home as a mom and wife.
While she was here we went to the OKC zoo which I love! Jaden loved the petting zoo and the little river they have for the kids to play in. It was a little warm that day but we made it out of there before it got too hot.

It was really hard to say bye to my mom again because I have missed her so much, but I am grateful she took the time to come visit us!!

Earlier in the summer the Jump family also came for a visit! It ended up working out so good....Justin, Jason's brother that is going to school in Utah, wanted to bring his new girlfriend Brittany home. While David and Stephanie, Jason's brother and sister-in-law, were moving from Ohio to Colorado that summer. We arranged it where they would stop in Oklahoma for a few days to break up the drive and Justin could come while they were here. It is always a hoot when the Jump's get together. The three boys are just hilarious and always laughing, and I love hanging out with Stephanie and my sister-in-law Amy, and this trip we met Brittany (who is pretty freakin awesome :) )
We had such a fun time with them here! Trips to the zoo, outdoor BBQ's,water parks, go-karts and arcades!

Once again, the visit came to an end quicker than I hoped, but I am excited to see all of them again this Christmas, except David and Stephanie, who we will miss-but can't wait to see in January with their new baby boy!!

Our Adventure Begins!

I am excited and  proud to announce that the Jump family will be moving to....

Yukon, Ok!

I really like the Yukon area! It is pretty much perfect for us :) It has the small town feel, with some small shopping...a Target, what else do you need?!? Plus it is only maybe 30 minutes out of Oklahoma City. I also love that we are still close to Ponca where my awesome in-laws live and all my best friends! Another plus is that it is the home of Garth Brooks...pretty cool, huh! :)

When we first moved to Oklahoma, Jason considered trying to get on at a fire department after taking an EMT class. Once his phone repair business picked up he kind of put it, lets say, on the back burner. Then, last November he enrolled in a 6 month intense Fire Academy in Choctaw, Ok. It was then that he knew he wanted this as a career. During the academy he started applying at departments and Yukon was definetly one of our top picks. We were lucky enough to get the job offer only 1 day after he interviwed!!

I am so proud of Jason and how hard he works for our family so that I can stay home with the cutest kid ever! :) Yukon, here we come!!

HOT HOT HOT!!

All winter long I was excited for summer to role around so that I could play outside with Jaden now that he is walking. We have been doing just that, playing outside almost all day! This kid could go forever if I let him. He loves the outdoors, like mom and dad :)
Here Jaden is watching the ducks walk by. He later chased them, but I didn't get a picture of it!
We found a really nice park down the road and go there pretty often. They have a duck pond and a huge field for Jaden to run and get his energy out.

Last week it seemed like we were both on FIRE after just a few minutes at the park. You would have thought it was 110....but no it wasnt. It was just really humid which is the worse!

Yes, it was only 88 and I am talking about how hot it was.

Jaden came up to me wanting to be held, I could tell he was exhausted. I gave him his sippy of juice and that didn't last long.
Look at that sweaty head :)

After the park we went to Braums to get a shake. Jaden was lucky enough to get his own shake and he LOVED it! I took advantage and went shopping while he drank his shake :)

Even though it seems like I am complaining about the heat, I am really excited for summer to be here!

Jam all day and jam all night!

Being a stay at home mom with a little guy who only says maybe 10 words, things get pretty quiet around here...so I usually have Pandora going all day, except naps of course :) I love music and finding new tunes! I have grown out of the country stage and am loving alternative and pop.
My favorite stations on Pandora are 90's Alternative, Phoenix, Kings of Leon, and Our Lady Peace.

I have had a little obsession with a few groups and artists.
My sister-in-law Stephanie introduced me to a singer Lights. I LOVE her music. She came out with a new album called Siberia and I am always listening to it when I workout. Favorite songs..Flux and Flow, Banner, and Timing is Everything.

Pearl Jam is another band! Once again, all my in laws listen to them but I know a few songs from my older siblings. I know they are a 90's band but recently, I can't get enough! Nothingman, Jeremy, Better man, and yellow ledbetter are really good songs to check out. They are pretty well known too...probably because they are so good :)

Muse is my other band. I would love to go to one of their concerts, along with lights. Guess who told me those were great concerts? You guessed it....my in-laws :) what can I say when you have awesome in-laws they come with awesome ideas and taste.

If you haven't checked any of these bands out, you should! Who doesn't love a little change?!

The Choctaw adventures

Since Jaden has started walking, getting out to do things are a lot more fun! Moving near a big city has given us lots to do!
Me and Jaden went out to site see. We saw the capital and the Oklahoma City Bombing memorial. Jaden was more interested in exploring all the new places :)

While out I had to pay for a parking meter. I can't say I have ever don't that!

We also went to the Zoo, Jaden liked it, but wasn't as interested as I thought he would be. Oklahoma has a large Firefighting museum that we went to and saw pictures of my father in law, Skip! It was neat.

And then....Jason had to start going to the Fire Academy full days. I miss having him here most of the day to do stuff with us. We are so proud of him for going after what he wants! I just love that guy :)

Brrr....It is FINALLY cold here!!!

Growing up in Las Vegas, I rarely saw snow in my yard. After high school when I moved to Utah it was always snowing in the winter, and I loved it!! I didn't think I would see snow in Oklahoma, but I was wrong :) Last winter we had TONS and TONS of snow....it made me realize Oklahoma isn't so bad after all ;)

This winter is different though. We have had so many warm days that I would forget it was winter. It was almost hard to believe it was Christmas and the New Year because it wasn't cold out!

Now it is halfway through February and we FINALLY have snow, not much, but hey it's snow!! It took a while but I was so excited to see it.

I am not usually one to talk or write all about the weather, but I guess the anticipation of snow all winter got the best of me :)
Jaden all bundled up on our trip to the store the day after the snow!

Ready, Set, BLOG!!!

The day is finally here for myself to finally get on with the blogging!! We recently moved completely on our on to Choctaw, Oklahoma where Jason is attenting a very time consuming fire academy. Just over a year ago when we moved to Oklahoma, I was so upset moving away from my family and friends, but adjusted to Ponca City quickly by having Jason's parents and making some friends....and just shortly after, here are, starting all over again :) Jason has been able to be home during the day almost daily until the end of Feburary because he already passed his EMT registry. It has been nice having him home helping with cleaning and Jaden while I focus on school. Not sure what I will do when he is gone all day, I'll have to figure it out!

We have been taking Jaden to the park and on walks quite a bit, it has been a blast to watch him explore and enjoy walking on those little legs of his!

By the time we get home from the park, Jaden is exhausted!

So far, 2012 has been a great year....excited for what comes ahead!
